In taking forward the recommendations made within the Fishing Without a Safety Net research report we’ve developed a range of resources to support fishing families to better manage their money.
We believe that once an initial crisis has been alleviated by a hardship grant, then maritime welfare charities could do more to support the long-term financial capability of their beneficiaries and help support them on to a pathway of financial resilience.
We’re exploring how the financial capability resources developed for fishers can be adapted to support other seafarers.
