Changing Tack on yacht crew welfare

With no standard of welfare practice in the superyacht industry, many vessels are not equipped to offer the correct support to their crew, often leaving crew members unsure where to turn in instances of poor mental health and wellbeing or other grievances on board. What has emerged in the last few years is a chasm between welfare provision in the private yachting sector compared to its commercial and shoreside counterparts with calls for more to be done.

Changing Tack is a group of industry leaders convened by The Seafarers' Charity who are passionate about improving crew welfare. We are holding the webinar to share the group’s recommendations to increase wellbeing of crew and create a more diverse and happy industry.
