Our grant funding supports frontline organisations and projects that provide essential help for seafarers and their families in crisis. Each grant application is assessed against our core goals to ensure the support provided to ensure that your donations go to where the need is greatest.

Mission to Seafarers
Grant funding awarded in 2022 to support their new Justice and Welfare Chaplain role in Dubai, contribute to the emergency Samaritan Fund and assist with Advocacy Department's central costs.
Amount awarded: £55,000
Aberdeen Seafarer's Centre
Grant funding awarded in 2022 from the Seafarers International Relief Fund to cover temporary accommodation costs for single male seafarers from Ukraine who are on 5 week rest break from working at sea and do not want to return to Ukraine.

Fishermen's Mission
Grant funding awarded in 2022 for organisational core costs (60%) with the remaining 40% split equitably between port welfare programmes in Troon, Kilkeel, Peterhead and Fraserburgh.

Stella Maris
Grant funding awarded in 2022 to develop Stella Maris Kenya’s capacity and welfare services across Mombasa, Malindi, Nakuru and Homa Bay during 2022-23.

Stella Maris
Grant funding awarded in 2022 to provide urgent food to seafarers, fishers and their families in the cities of Cebu and Liloan and their environs, and on the Island of Bohol – the regions most affected by Super Typhoon Rai, Philippines.

Stella Maris
Grant funding awarded in 2022 to provide rapid emergency grants to seafarers and their families in crisis and distress through the Stella Maris Centenary Emergency Fund.
